Swedish incredible vocal artist 'The Real Group' borught KAI up on stage to perform 'Count Baise Medley' which was recorded and put it in the live album later.

北村が97年から2008年まで在籍したプロアカペラグループの「トライトーン」。北村のボイスパーカッションは控え目だが、その分コーラスを歌うことが増えた。曲調やリズムがいろいろ入っていて、とても楽しいアルバム。
TRY-TONE is Japanese A cappella quintet who has been peforming more than 20 years. Kai had been singing for them for 11 years from 1997 to 2008. This album is one of the great hit and great memory.

'HamojiN' is A cappella quartet formed by 4 vocalists in Tokyo. 'Salad Bar' is their second album and you can see how they enjoy themselves performing and listening each other.

元The House JacksメンバーのDeke Sharon氏から突然連絡があって、ゲストとして録音したのがこのアルバム。北村は韓国のExitと共演する形で一曲参加しているが、音質をかなり変えているので、彼のボイパーであることはほとんどの人が気がつかないであろう。
Kai is joining 'The House Jacks' album 'Pollen'. This album incredibly invite more than 10 a cappella groups as the guest performer and collaborating in the tracks. I am performing Vocal Percussion with Korean A cappella group 'EXIT'.

ジャズボーカリストのギラジルカと矢幅歩のユニット「SOLO-DUO」のアルバム。北村は2曲に参加し、中島徹のピアノと２人だけで伴奏を固めている。ボーカルを含めて４人だけでとてもグルーヴィーなサウンドになっている点は自分でも何度聞いても楽しい。
Two Japanese Jazz Vocalists Geila and Ayumu formed up the vocal unit 'SOLO-DUO' and I joined their regular recording in two songs for the album. Toru Nakajima on Piano.

オーストラリアを代表するオーケストラである「メルボルンシンフォニーオーケストラ」とThe Idea of Northのコラボレーションアルバム。メルボルンHamer Hallでのライブ録音。自分史的にはフルオーケストラとのボイスパーカッションとの共演という夢のような体験だった。収録曲のうち2曲はアカペラで録音。

「トライトーン」の譜面を出版することになって、その音源として録音したアルバム。曲によっては昔のメンバーの音源もあり、現在ソロで大活躍中の川江美奈子さんの歌声も入っているのも興味深い。それにしてもいい曲が多いなとしみじみ聴いてしまう。
TRY-TONE' publised two official score books and this is the second one. I love to listening to those incredible arrangements. I learned from them a lot!!!

韓国で1990年代にミリオンを記録したアカペラグループ「インゴンウィソン」。ソウル大学の合唱団で結成された。「人工偉声」と漢字で書き「人の声の素晴らしさを伝える」という意味である。私はTRY-TONE時代にジョイントコンサートをしたことがきっかけで友人になった。グループは長いこと休眠状態だったが、久しぶりにシングルを録音することになり私がゲストとして参加することになった。2016年収録。
'Ingong Wei Seong' is famous collageate A cappella vocal group in South Korea, formed up in early 1990. They made million hit and I've got to know them throughout the work for Korean-Japan Cultural exchange concert in 1997. They stopped singing in early 2000, but they've got the sponsor to record one song for family-aid programm. This arrangement is singing for kids, and they need more time to spend with father. So impressive.

北村が加入して初めてのフルアルバム。20年ほど４人で活動してきたTIONが５人になるにあたって新たに編曲を作ったり、これまでのアレンジを書き直したりして、新しいサウンドを追求している。グループの音楽監督Namo Crellinの斬新な編曲をはじめ、新たなメンバーとして参加しているベースボーカルのLuke Thompsonのグルーヴィーなアレンジは新たな魅力となっている。北村も日本の「ふるさと」を編曲し全員で日本語で録音したのは貴重。
Kai's first full album with The Idea of North. Since the group made change to be quintet, all the arrangement were refleshed and re-constructed. I really love Naomi's inovative arrangement for Vocal music, not only her, this time our new basist 'Luke Thompson' gave us a groovy arrangement 'Shower the People' which became our new high light in this album. Also, I wrote an arrangement of Japanese oldies 'Furusato' (My sweet home town), and we sung it in Japanese. Emma sung the meldey beautifully.
